A High Quality 19th Century figured Victorian Burr Walnut Piano Davenport with a pop up top. The pull-out fitted interior, includes: green leather adjustable writing surface slope with and pen/ink wells and two small drawers.
The ‘pop up top’ is activated by pulling a secret lever above the inside right hand drawer, which lifts up the secret compartment on the top of the Davenport to reveal: four fitted pigeons holes and three small drawers. This can be pushed / pressed back down which clicks back into place. Below on the right hand side of the Davenport has four fitted mahogany lined drawers with turned bun handles. The left hand side there are a four dummy drawers. Flanked by fluted turned columns with a carved floral decoration on a plinth base with castors.
