Dating from ca. 1860 this high quality 19th Century Golden Burr Walnut Victorian Open Bookcase has a rectangular moulded top with beautiful figuring above two adjustable shelves. The bookcase has the original tooled leather shelf fringes and stands on a figured moulded plinth. It is very unusual to find a large open bookcase in burr walnut from this period and it comes with the beautiful charm and character, you can only see with genuine antiques. The walnut has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition.
